Work on machines, controls and software.
At Global Control Group, machines, controls and software come together. Our engineering team works on industrial automation, from electrical design and PLC/HMI to embedded systems, IT/OT and commissioning.
From drawings to a working installation
The work involves real machines and the people who use them. It may mean investigating a fault, developing control software or commissioning equipment on site. Our team works with B&R, Siemens, WAGO and CODESYS. The application determines the technology.
Learn beyond your own discipline
You do not need to know everything already. We do expect you to want to understand why something works and why it sometimes does not. You work directly with the engineers delivering the project and can discuss technical decisions with colleagues.
Close to the project
As an experienced engineer, you want to know which technical decisions you can make yourself. At GCG, design, programming, testing and handover are part of the same work. You coordinate directly with colleagues and customers. Based on your experience and the project, we discuss the responsibility you take on, from a defined part of the software to the control system and commissioning.
Volendam, Cyprus and on site
GCG has locations in the Netherlands and Cyprus and also works internationally on installations and commissioning. Work location and travel depend on the role and assignment, and are agreed in advance.

Guidance through real engineering work
Raymond guides colleagues in controls and software and has taught at De Techniekschool for more than ten years. Lucas independently developed a measurement system and converted a robot installation into a demonstration and test cell. Nick develops communication between applications and hardware. Their stories show the responsibilities involved.
At an introductory meeting, discuss what matters to you too: technical responsibility, guidance, work location, travel and employment terms. The details depend on the role we discuss together.
Our engineers’ work
From sensor readings to operator information.
Lucas delivered a PLC/HMI system for measuring pleat height and pack width. Measurement processing, limit monitoring and calibration turn sensor data into useful information at the machine.
A digital request identifies the right compartment.
Nick wrote an RS485 driver for a Pick-by-Light system. The communication connects a request from an application or database to the hardware indicating the storage location.
We are interested in meeting good engineers.
No specific vacancies are listed on this page. Want to introduce yourself? Tell us about your work, the technology that interests you and what you are looking for. We can then discuss whether there is a suitable opportunity.
