The project

From mechanical concept to machine control.

Four special-purpose machines were needed to produce DeRaKo grill ceilings. Raymond designed the controls and wrote the software. DeRaKo described what the machines needed to do. The parties involved developed the mechanics, electrical drawings and panels.

Four machines

  1. Grill assembly machine 1

  2. Grill assembly machine 2: further development for increased capacity

  3. Drilling and sawing machine

  4. Double cut-off saw

Who did what?

Four parties, four parts of the work.

  • DeRaKo

Mechanical concept and design, process description and machine functionality.

  • Blom Opmeer

    Mechanical construction and construction.

  • NewIO / Alex Keurentjes

Electrical schematics in EPLAN and control cabinet construction.

  • Raymond Consen-Tump

Control system design, PLC architecture and control software for the four machines.

Controls connecting the disciplines

Raymond provided the control design and software for all four machines. The machines are used in DeRaKo's production process. The precise mechanical solutions, production sequences and technical implementation remain confidential.

GCG draws on this experience in its current project approach: connecting electrical, software and execution while explicitly agreeing responsibilities for mechanics, panel building and automation.
